Well it was another Survivor first, Amanda finally got her torch snuffed. She managed to make it to the end in both of her seasons, but now her time has come.. the sad part… it didn’t have to. They almost had the numbers and if she kept that idol… well we all know it would of ended differently.. but honestly I would rather see amanda go than parvati, she’s better tv.

So as Russell mingles on the thought of someone flipping he decides to use the idol at tribal council on himself based on Candices words that the heroes were voting for him. Danielle laughs when he stands up but you KNOW she was probably pissed, he took her idol that she brawled over.

THE FALLOUT FROM LAST WEEK

Last week, Parvati played not one but two idols.  Russell had no idea she had the second idol or he never would have given her his idol in the first place!  You knew the fallout was going to come and the anticipation of it reminded me of my youth, growing up in the wheat fields of Kansas.

In Kansas, tornadoes are common and they often cause major damage.  But just before the tornado strikes, there is an eerie calm.  The wind doesn’t rustle, the rain doesn’t fall.  It’s just calm.  You see neighbors rounding up the bicycles or putting away the lawn mower, cause they know the storm is a comin’ and it’s gonna be bad.

Russell is like a tornado.  A tornado that is lingering just outside of town, slowly swirling, building momentum and gearing up to do some major damage.  You could feel his anger growing, you could feel the emotions beginning to gather steam as they worked their way through his body. Let’s face it, no one really knew why Candice was back on survivor, but for survivor sake, I’ll let it pass how they justified why she should be back with the first mutiny ever, and how they justified that it was brave of her yada yada and that’s why she’s a hero. Honestly at the beginning I thought, I can get used to her, she’s not that bad, but wow, can we say follow the leader? She flips and flops and doesn’t know what she wants in this game, she has no idea how to play.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the villains and am routing for a few of them, but they had it locked up!!! Sandra was totally on board, they had the votes and who cares if Russell has an idol, so your just gonna go with anyone with an idol? No one is gonna take her seriously now, they know she’s just an easy vote. Sandra hit the nail on the head when she said she was scared. As far as I can see, Candice just took herself from a top position in a good alliance, to being last on the totem pole and laughed at by the villains.

After Danielle had her huge blow out with Amanda, she ended up showing her clue to her alliance which was expected and planned, but Russell, out of anger from the girls hiding an idol from him decides to find it and keep it to himself, which he does. This is clear he does this to make himself feel better about being in control of the game, because let’s be honest, it wasn’t very bright. I’m not condoning parvati’s actions of keeping hers a secret, but for Russell to take the risk and then use it at tribal, tad bit lack of self control there….

Imagine you’re a strapping single Castaway sharing a bed with two hot women who suddenly begin wrestling…wouldn’t you want to join in? Not this guy. Engrossed by the search for booty (oh, the irony) in the trio’s prize screening of Treasure Island, he had to drag himself away to mediate the fracas over a Hidden Immunity Idol clue.

In the end, his distraction cost him—and his alliance—dearly…

Because Colby the mediator persuaded Amanda Kimmel to sacrifice the clue to Danielle (and the Villains), the two-time runner-up had her torch snuffed for the first time in three seasons of Survivor.

Always a Bridesmaid: Amanda may not have been completely honest when she said she’s “kind of glad not to be a part of” the game anymore, but I’m inclined to agree with her. She’s so obvious, and hasn’t offered much in the way of entertainment. Except, that is, when Danielle “wrestled her to the ground and grabbed [the Hidden Immunity Idol clue] out of her hand.”

Sandra tells Rupert about Candice. The Heroes gather with Sandra and she tells them all about Candice, who denies everything. Colby believes Candice but decides that if Russell does know, they’ll switch and vote Parvati off instead. Sandra then bitches at Candice and tries to convince her that Danielle has the idol and won’t give it to Russell. Candice tells her she should just vote for Amanda.

At Tribal Council, Jeff asks Rupert about how the numbers look now? Old Rupert says it looks bad and adds that he’s not sure if any of the Villains can be flipped. Sandra all but admits that she’s ready to flip, feeling she’s an outsider. Russell says that Sandra would be a good person to take to the Final Two since she’s so weak. He gives a short rundown on the strengths of each of the Villains. He and Danielle are the fighters, Parvati is the charmer and Jerri is the calm one. Sandra, well, she’s just there, says Russell. The idol then comes up as Russell mentions that Danielle found the clue. The Heroes chirp in that they think she has it now. Parvati feels a bit threatened tonight. Russell doesn’t care, he’s ready to face the risks.

It’s time to vote. We see Russell vote for Amanda and her voting to boot Parvati. Jeff collects the ballots and asks if anyone wants to play an idol. Russell surprises nearly everyone when he plays the idol. He tells Jeff that he thinks somebody may have flipped. Amanda gets booted 6-3. Sandra stuck with the Villains and Candice did flip. Parvati tells Russell he wasted an idol.

Seeing the museum for Robert Louis Stevenson was actually pretty cool, even though Amanda was literally spending every second of her time looking around the room for a hidden immunity idol. Could it be in the popcorn? Okay, I actually meant that as a joke — but Danielle found it. Then (like a pair of ten-year olds arguing over a picture of Justin Bieber), Amanda tried to snatch it from her. Colby then ended up doing the dumbest thing in human history, dumber even than JT giving Russell an idol. He told Amanda that it was Danielle’s! Don’t you realize you are in trouble in this game? This scene itself makes me want to root against him for not fighting for his alliance. Colby, I hope they vote you out next — okay, I hope they vote you out after Danielle since she has no entertainment value at all.

Danielle shared the clue with all of her friends, and then Russell snuck up and grabbed it without her seeing. What did they expect? This was a dumb move on her part, expecting that Russ would be happy to go along with her plan after she and Parvati hid the clue from her last time.

Russell decided not to show his new prize with them, and instead went and shook it in front of Candice as some sort of proof that she could trust them. Really, all Russell seems to be actually doing is handing herself fourth place. She’s the new Shambo, with the exception that Shambo actually finished sixth. Either way, Russell is just trying to get himself an “ally” and a jury vote.
